We believe that customers have a right to see our inspection reports. So on this website we summarise any relevant inspection reports relating to our business. In the cafe section you will find our food hygiene and food standards inspection.
Our latest trading standards inspection, dated 4 April 2007, was undertaken by the Trading Standards Unit of Glasgow City Council. The report states "At the time of the visit all the relevant trading standards matters inspected were found to be satisfactory".
As part of our insurance cover, we had an independent environmental performance review in December 2007. The report stated that "Entrading has a commendable approach to environmental considerations in its day-to-day activities" and "it lives by fundamental principles that ensure a diligent approach to consumption of natural resources". The report also confirms that "the premises are well maintained and there was no evidence of unnecessary material or energy consumption, excessive waste or use of materials deleterious to the environment. No legislative non-compliance issues were identified." Three suggestions for improvement were made relating to: supply of some organic products for the cafe; review of our green electricity tariff; and identification of local eco-printers. Having made changes in these, and other, areas we are pleased to have been awarded the "Environmentally Aware Trading Certificate" on 2 April 2008.
